01
Context
FactSeal supports background verification during hiring. Companies can initiate checks for candidates, candidates can submit required information and documents, and individuals can also use the app for personal verification needs.
The product existed before the redesign, but its functionality was limited. It primarily handled current location verification. The redesign expanded both the product scope and the user experience.
02
Problem
The existing app solved only one part of the verification journey.
Background screening involves multiple sensitive steps: identity, education, employment history, certificates, references, consent, document upload, and location verification. Without a clear end-to-end flow, users could easily feel lost, unsure, or overwhelmed.
03
My Role
I redesigned the complete product experience.
04
Application Flow
- 01Onboarding
- 02Identity Verification
- 03Consent Authorization
- 04Form Completion
- 05Document Upload
- 06Verification Status
The flow was designed to make a complex verification process feel guided, predictable, and easier to complete.
05
Design Decisions
Guided Verification Flow
Instead of exposing users to the entire verification system at once, the experience guides them step by step through the required checks.
Clear Verification States
Each stage communicates what has been completed, what requires attention, and what the user needs to do next.
Sensitive Data, Clear Interaction
Because verification involves personal and professional information, the interface needed to feel structured, transparent, and reliable.
06
Redesigned Experience
The redesigned product included onboarding, OTP verification, consent authorization, identity checks, academic and employment verification flows, location confirmation, document upload, profile screens, and completion states.
- The internal web portal was redesigned to help teams manage and review verification activity connected to the candidate-facing app.
- Product screenshots were designed for App Store and Play Store listings across mobile and tablet formats.

Looking Back
This project taught me that enterprise product design is not just about adding more functionality. It is about organizing complex workflows into experiences that feel predictable, transparent, and easy to complete.
